Maddy Prater

Maddy Prater is a Master Cosmetologist & Skincare Specialist at PurLux. She received her education from Pikeville Beauty Academy. Although Maddy started her career with a focus on hair, she soon realized her love for skincare and has become as accomplished Hydrafacialist, and Face Reality Acne expert. In addition to being an asset to PurLux, Maddy is also a full-time nursing student. We look forward to seeing Maddy grow and offer new services in the next couple of years at PurLux. Below are photos of Maddy's hair portfolio, however at this time she is not accepting new hair clients due to her skincare schedule and nursing school commitments. Color Services

Prices reflected are starting prices and may increase based on product and process used, length of hair, and corrective treatments. Each cosmetologist at PurLux is independent and create their own services and pricing. While we provide this guideline for you to have a general idea of pricing, all guests are encouraged to discuss pricing with the service provider prior to receiving the service to obtain an accurate quote based upon your desired result and unique circumstance. Pricing includes haircut if desired.

  • All Over Color

    $85+
    (1) color applied directly to hair without the use of foils. Price will increase based on product used, toner, and additional options such as olaplex treatments, multiple colors etc.

  • Balayage

    $110+
    Balayage is a technique where hair color is painted onto the hair to create a graduated, more natural-looking highlight effect. Price will increase based on product used, toner, and additional options such as olaplex treatments, multiple colors etc.

  • Partial Highlight

    $85+
    Top portion of head or minimal foiling. Price will increase based on product used, toner, and additional options such as olaplex treatments, multiple colors etc.

  • Full Highlight

    $110+
    Full head is highlighted. Price will increase based on product used, toner, and additional options such as olaplex treatments, multiple colors etc.

  • Color Melt

    $85+
    A semi-permanent hair color applied to wet hair to create a seamless blending of shades. Price will increase based on product used, toner, and additional options such as olaplex treatments, multiple colors etc.

Cuts & Style

  • Shampoo & Style

    $30
    Hair is washed, dried, and styled to your desired look (typically straightened or curled). Price may increase for elaborate styles or special products used (deep conditioning treatments).

  • Women's Cut

    $35

Extensions & Hair Treatments

Maddy is trained and certified through Halo Extension. She has experience in both tape in and sew in/hand-tied. All extensions require consultation prior to the appointment so that your hair may be ordered. Pricing does not include the purchase of extensions, hair must be paid for prior to ordering.
